Tim and Barbara Riley Owners of Riley’s Seabreeze Cottage Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera, The Bahamas
Barbara is a native of Tarpum Bay, just two miles down the road from the cottage. Tim is a Southern Californian. The Ocean has been a part of his life since the very early years. He came to the Bahamas in 1986 to start a business raising honeybees for honey and bee pollen production. An avid Scuba diver, Tim saw a need for a diving operation on Eleuthera, so started South Eleuthera Divers in 1989. After many adventures, Tim, and later Tim and Barbara, grew the business to include contracts with a cruise line and an all-inclusive resort. Tim probably knows more about the diving business around South Eleuthera than anyone today. Tim is a surfer, dive instructor, amateur naturalist and birder. He is very familiar with the local flora and fauna of Eleuthera, both above and below sea level. He was given the position of Game Warden for the island for several years. Tim and Barbara are now living in Florida, just a few hours away from home on temporary assignment. We really hope you enjoy your stay at our house! |
